In the interview with Le Figaro, Chávez thanked Ahmadinejad for the transfer of technology from Iran to Venezuela. He recalled that both countries signed a new agreement last week in Tehran
The Islamic Republic of Iran is helping Venezuela to develop a civilian nuclear program as both countries have the right to produce nuclear energy, Venezuela’s President Hugo Chávez told the conservative French newspaper Le Figaro in an interview published on Wednesday.
In the interview, Chávez thanked Ahmadinejad for the transfer of technology from Iran to Venezuela. He recalled that both countries signed a new agreement last week in Tehran.
Venezuela is working on a preliminary project for the construction of a “nuclear village” with the help of Iran, that “will allow the Venezuelan people to have in the future this wonderful resource for peaceful purposes,” Chávez said in Iran.
